To all Scouters;
There comes a time when boys are searching for a direction in their lives or maybe just looking for some good clean fun. Scouting is a way of helping boys along that journey. We provide many opportunities to experience new things and have fun doing it. By advancing through different Scout ranks the boys are learning leadership skills. By earning merit badges Scouts learn life skills and a little taste of careers for later in life. Through service projects Scouts learn hot to give back to the community. Many Scouts gain lifelong friends by sharing common experiences and challenges in Scouting.
Scouting opens up the doors to many opportunities to see new and exciting places that you may not be able to experience outside of Scouting. Nearby campouts or trips across the country like the Grand Canyon, Florida Sea Base, Yellowstone National Park, Smoky Mountains and Boundary Waters are some of many places Troop 11 has visited. With proper planning the opportunities are endless.
Life is short, grasp every opportunity with both hands, take it as far as you can and don't forget to enjoy every minute of the journey.
